The extent of dissociation can be calculated as:
[tex]\frac{molecular weight before dissociation}{molecular weight after dissociation}=\frac{1+\alpha }{1}[\tex]
[tex]\alpha [\tex] is the extent of dissociation.
molecular weight before dissociation is 208.32
molecular weight after dissociation is 124
putting these vakue in the equation
[tex]\frac{208.32}{124}=\frac{1+\alpha }{1}[\tex]
on solving ,
[tex]\alpha [\tex] found to be 0.68

Molecular weight before dissociation/Molecular weight after dissociation

= 1+a/1

= 1 + a  = Molecular weight before dissociation/Molecular weight after dissociation

= 1 + a  = 208.32/124

= 1.68

a = 1.68 - 1

= 0.68

The extent of dissociation = 0.68
