Given :

  • ➻ Moment of Force = 2 N m
  • ➻ Force (F) = 5 N

Find :

  • ➻ Distance (r)

Solution :

If the distance of the point of application of force from the point P is r metre, then :

  • Moment of force = force distance

  • 2 = 5 ༝ r
  • r = 2/5
  • r = 0.4 m

Therefore,

  • Hence, the distance (r) is 0.4 m.

Given :

  • Moment of force = 2 Nm
  • Force, F = 5 N

To Find :

  • Distance, r = ?

Solution :

We know that :

[Moment of force = Force × Distance]

By substituting values :

=> 2 Nm = 5 N × r

=> r = 2/5

=> r = 0.4 m

Hence, distance = 0.4 m.
