let no. of employees be 100

then total salary of all employees=5000×100=>500000

let no.of men be x

then no. of females will be (100-x)

then

5200x+4200(100-x)=500000

1000x=80000

x=80

The percentage of males employed in the company is 80%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Average salary paid to Male = Rs. 5200

Average salary paid to female = Rs. 4200

Average salary to all = Rs. 5000

Using "Mixture and Allegations" we get that

Male             Female

5200             4200

          5000

-----------------------------

 800     :         200

4           :             1

So, the percentage of males employed in the company is given by

\dfrac{4}{5}\times 100\\\\=4\times 20\\\\=80\%

Hence, the percentage of males employed in the company is 80%.
