Step-by-step explanation:

Monthly income =Rs 18,000

He gave to his wife= 1/3×18000=Rs6,000

He spend on his children= 18000-6000=12000

1/3×12000=Rs4,000

Total he spend from his income is

6000+4000=10000

18000-10000=Rs8,000

So he left with Rs 8,000.
