Let their monthly salaries be 3x and 5x.

According to the question,

3x+200= 13x................(i)

and, 5x+ 200= 21x...............(ii)

Adding equation (i) and (ii):-

3x+5x+200+200= 13x+21x.

8x+400= 34x.

400= 34x-8x.

26x= 400.

$x = \frac{400}{26} \\ x = \frac{100}{3}$

Now, original salaries are

$3x = 3 \times \frac{100}{3}$

= ₹100.

$5x = 5 \times \frac{100}{3} = \frac{500}{3}$

= ₹166.67
