To find the median number:1. Put all the numbers in correct ascending or descending order.
2. If there is an odd number of results, the median is the middle number.
3. If there is an even number of results, the median will be the mean of the two central numbers.

The monthly salary (in$) of 10 employees of a factory are :

12350, 7900, 7500, 8700, 8300, 10320, 12800, 9200, 13000, 11000     Ascending order : 7500,7900,8300,8700,9200,10320,11000,12350,12800,13000
It is an even number results . so,the median will be the mean of 2 central numbers . the central numbers are :8300 and 10320 .
 so,
       8300+10320/2=18620/2
                                 =9310
Therefore the median salary is Rs.9310 .
