We have the given data as per question,

Monthly salary=30000

Expenditure=12000

so from this we can easily find out the saving of person

saving=monthly (salary) - (Expenditure)

 saving=30000-12000\\=18000

we need to find the ratio of saving to expenditure

=18000:12000

=\frac{18000}{12000\\}

by simplifying in lowest term we get

\frac{6}{4}

because both are  divisible by 3

hence the ratio is 6:4

so we concluded that the ratio of saving to expenditure is 6:4
