A) Malabar Region

The Malabar rebellion was an armed rebellion in 1921 against the British government in the Malabar province of South India by Mappilas. This uprising was occurred due to the culmination of a group of Mappila revolutions that happened during the 19th century and early 20th century.

The 1921 resistance started as the demonstration in support of the Ottoman Caliphate, by the British governments in the Eranad and Valluvanad taluks of Malabar.
