According to the shape and orientation, the ovules of angiosperms are classified in to four major types such as Orthotropous, Anatropous, Campylotropous and Hemianatropous.


Anatropous ovule turns at 180 degree angle and it is found in 82% of angiosperm families.


Thus it is inverted ovule. Micropyle lies close to hilum or at side of hilum.
