The entire story revolves around the ghost. It started with Sir Simon telling Mr. Otis about the haunted Canterville chase which was because of the ghost. The Otis family is not scared of the ghost and the ghost made numerous attempts to scare them but in vain. Finally he feels molested by the twins and gave up all hope of ever
