The movement of a body from A to D is shown as in figure. Calculate the speed of the body as it move from (a) A to B (b) B to C , and (c) C to D, using the graph given:

(i) when it moved from A to B

total distance= 3cm

total time= 5sec

so speed = 5/3 cm/s

(ii)when it moved from B to C

total distance = 3-3=0cm

total time= 7-5= 2sec

so speed = 0/2=0 cm/s

(iii)when it moved from C to D

total distance = 7-3= 4cm

total time = 9-7= 2sec

so speed= 4/2= 2cm/s
