When the three friends were gossiping. The narrator told that he usually felt that his liver was out of order .Then when he felt few fits of hay fever he went to a museum in which he searched a book in which almost all disease of the world was written and after reading it he found that he is suffering from all those diseases. For a treatment he went to a doctor who was his close friend also, but the doctor just prescribes him to take a complete rest and a change of scene.These all points suggests that he was a hypochondriac.
