The near point of a hypermetropic eye is at 75cm from the eye. what is the power of the lens required to enable him to read clearly a book held at 25cm from the eye.???

  • THE LENS USED IN THE QUESTION IS CONVEX LENS.
  • v = -75
  • u = 25
  • 1v+1u=1f
  • 1−75+125=275
  • P=1f
  • 100(75/2)
  • =2.66

The power required for the correction is
P=1/F
=1/0.75
=1.33 D
Therefore power required for correction of the lebs is +1.33 D
