the compound of food and saliva called bolus travels from mouth to alimentary canal.The alimentary canal expands and becomes normal with in milliseconds.The oesophagus which is the part of alimentary canal is responsible for this process.Bolus is nothing but digested food in mouth.After the stage of alimentary canal it passes to stomach.
