The near point of a long-sighted person is 50 cm from the eye.; (a) Can she see dearly an object at:; (i) a distance of 20 cm ? (ii) at infinity ?; (b) To read a book held at a distance of 25 cm, will she need converging or diverging spectacle lenses?

a)i) For a long sighted person 50 cm is the near point from the eye, so object at a distance of 20 cm is not clearly visible by that person.

ii)Since for a long sighted person the near point from eye is 50 cm , so object at infinity will not be visible by that person.

b) Converging spectacles would be needed by her to read a book which is held at a distance of 25 cm from her.
