Given : Technician A takes 2 hours to finish 50 samples of specimens from  CoVID-19 patients.

Technician B takes 3 hours to finish 45 samples of specimens

from COVID-19 patients.

To Find : Working together, how long should it take them to finish

150 samples of specimens from COVID-19 patients?

Solution:

Technician A takes 2 hours to finish 50 samples of specimens from

CoVID-19 patients.

=> Technician A will complete sample in 1 hr  = 50/2 = 25

Technician B takes 3 hours to finish 45 samples of specimens from

CoVID-19 patients.

=> Technician B will complete sample in 1 hr  = 45/3 = 15

Both together will finish sample in 1 hr  = 25 + 15  = 40

40 Samples  in  1 hr

=> 1 sample  in  1/40  hr

=> 150 Samples in 150/40  hr

= 15/4 hr

= 3.75 hr

= 3 hr 45 minutes
