6                    x+8           6x+48

4                    x+6             4x+24    

Total frequency : \sum f= x+x+2+x+8+x+6=4x+16

\sum fX=3x+5x+10+6x+48+4x+24= 18x+82

We know that the formula of mean = \dfrac{\sum fX}{\sum f}

, where frequency corresponding to each X.

Since Mean = \dfrac{52}{11} (Given)

Substitute all values in formula , we get

\dfrac{52}{11}=\dfrac{18x+82}{4x+16}

52(4x+16)=11(18x+82)
