2x+4y-6=0------(1)

4x+8y-12=0----(2)

from these two equation

2/4=4/8=6/12

=1/2

hence these two equation have one solution

Step-by-step explanation:

2x+4y -6=0 (1)

4x+8y-12=0 (2)

x y 1

b1 c1 a1 b1

b2 c2 a2 b2

4 -6 2 4

8 -12 4 8

 \frac{x}{b1c2 - b2c1}  =  \frac{y}{c1a2 - c2a1}  =  \frac{1}{a1b2 - a2b1}

 \frac{x}{(4)( - 12) - (8)( - 6) } =  \frac{y}{( - 6)(4) - ( - 12)(2)}   =  \frac{1}{(2)(8) - (4)(4)}

 \frac{x}{0}  =  \frac{y}{0}  =  \frac{1}{0}

 \frac{x}{0}  =  \frac{1}{0}

x = 0

 \frac{x}{ - 48 + 48  }  =  \frac{y}{ - 24 + 24}  =  \frac{1}{16 - 16}
