\bf\underline{\underline{Answer}}

Northeast Brazil receives less than 800 mm per year, due to the effects of the anticyclone prevailing in the south Atlantic. Some inland regions receive less than 400 mm/annum!

Rainfall amounts vary greatly from year to year. Droughts in the Nordeste are more likely. Unlike the Amazon, the Nordeste has long been developed, and during serious droughts thousands of people migrate towards the overpopulated cities of the south, or into the Amazon region. However, the coastal area from Recife southward receives more rain, year-round.

Hey Dear !!

Here is ur Answer ⤵️

Parts of the Brazilian Highlands Extend up to the northern coast and forms an escarpment . The escarpments act as an obstruction to the winds coming from the sea and cause the orographic type of rain fall in the costal region . Behind the Highlands , The effects of these winds get reduced . As a result the rainfall is minimal.

Hope it helps you ✌

Thank you ❣️
