The nucleus is a spherical-shaped organelle present in every eukaryotic cell. It is the control center of eukaryotic cells, responsible for the coordination of genes and gene expression. The structure of a nucleus encompasses nuclear membrane, nucleoplasm, chromosomes and nucleolus.

nuclear membrane:- it is the thin outer covering that protects the nucleus and separates the inner components of the nucleus to the outer cytoplasm. it is porous in structure.

nucleoplasm :- it the jelly like fluid present inside the nucleus

chromosomes :- these are present in an entangled form inside the nucleus . these contain the genes which are the functional unit of heredity.

nucleolus:- it is dense mass of chromatin fiber . it is also called the nucleus of the nucleus.
