Explanation:

NaCl is made up of two atoms : one sodium and one chlorine atom. The atomic no. of Na is 11 and atomic no. of Cl is 17. Atomic mass of Na is 23 and atomic mass of chlorine is 35. Hence, the molecular mass of NaCl will be =atomic mass of Na + atomic mass of Cl.i.e. 22.98+ 35.543=58.523.

so, the molecular mass of NaCl is 58.52 g/mol.

You see one mole of sodium chloride has a mass of 58.52 gram.

5.85/58.52 is about 0.1 mole

Multiply that number with Avogadro’s number and you have your answer!

Hope this helps.....
