And the number of girls be = 5x

So, According to the question,

=> 7x = 8 + 5x

=> 7x - 5x = 8

=> 2x = 8

=> x = 8/2

=> x = 4

Therefore,

Number of boys = 7x = 7(4) = 28

Number of Girls = 5x = 5(4) = 20

Total Strength = 28 + 20 = 48
