more than the number of girls. What is total class strength?​

Answer:

let, the no. of boys be 8x and girls be 5x.

therefore,

8x = 5x + 9

=> 8x-- 5x = 9

=> 3x = 9

=> x = 9 /3

=> x = 3

therefore, no. of boys is 8x=24

no. of girls is 5x = 15

therefore, total strength of the class = 24 + 18

= 52
