\mathfrak{\huge{Answer:}}

\mathbb{GIVEN}

Ratio of the number of girls and boys = 7:5

Number of boys is 8 more than the number of girls

\mathbb{TO\:FIND}

The Total class strength

\mathbb{METHOD}

Let the number of girls = x

Number of boys = x + 8

The ratio of boys and girls = 7:5

=》 7 : 5 = x + 8 : x

Solve this formed equation further

=》 \tt{\frac{7}{5} = \frac{x + 8}{x}}\\

Solve this formed equation further

=》 7x = 5 ( x + 8 )

Some more steps to go

=》 7x = 5x + 40

Last one step to go

=》 2x = 40

The value of x is

=》 x = 20

Thus, boys = x + 8 = 28

20 + 28 = 48

The answer will be \huge{\sf{48\:students}}

\bf\huge\textbf{\underline{\underline{According\:to\:the\:Question}}}

Suppose the no. of girls be 5p

Suppose the no. of boys = 7p

According to the given condition

5p + 8 = 7p

7p - 5p = 8

2p = 8

\bf\huge{\implies p = \dfrac{8}{2}}

p = 4

No. of girls

⇒ 5 × 4 = 20

No. of boys

⇒ 7 × 4 = 28

Strength of the class ⇒ 20 + 28 = 48
