Hi,

Number of creative students = x

Number of confident students = y

According to the problem given,

Number of creative students

= twice the number ofconfident studnts - 3

x = 2y - 3 -----( 1 )

i) put y = 2 in equation ( 1 ), we get

x = 1

ii ) put y = 4 in equation ( 1 ) we get ,

x = 5,

Therefore ,

Required equation x = 2y - 3

Two solutions are ( 1 ,2 ) and ( 5 , 4 )

I hope this helps you.
