Given : The number of cubes of side 3 cm that can be cut from a cuboid of dimensions 10 cm × 9 cm × 6 cm.

Side of cube , a = 3 cm

Dimension of cuboid = l × b × h = 10 cm × 9 cm × 6 cm

Volume of cuboid ,V = l × b × h

V = 10 × 9 × 6

V = 540 cm³

Volume of cuboid   = 540 cm³

Volume of cube, v = a³

v  = 3³

v  = 3 × 3 × 3

v = 27 cm³

Volume of cube = 27 cm³

Number of cubes can be formed = Volume of cuboid/Volume of cube

Number of cubes can be formed = 540/27 = 20

Hence, the number of cubes of side 3 cm that can be cut from a cuboid of given dimensions are 20.

Option (D) 20 is correct.
