Given : Volume of a cuboid is 12 cm³.

Let the dimensions of a cuboid be l , b, and  h.

We know that, Volume of a cuboid = l × b × h

lbh = 12 …………………….(1)

Given that sides are double of the above cuboid :

l = 2l , b = 2b , h = 2h

Dimensions of new  cuboid = 2l × 2b × 2h

Volume of new cuboid ,V = 8 × lbh

On putting the value from eq 1 :

V  = 8 × 12

V = 96 cm³

Hence the volume (in cm³) of a cuboid whose sides are double of the above cuboid is 96.

Option (D) 96 is correct.

Volume = lbh = 12 cu cm

When sides are double:

Sides = 2l, 2b, 2h

Volume = 2l × 2b × 2h = 8(lbh) = 8 × 12 = 96 cu cm

Answer is:- (D) 96 cu cm
