\bf\large\underline\pink{Solution:-}

d)4500 litres

Explanation :-

Area of terrace = 6m × 5m = 30m^2

height of rain water = 15cm = 0.15m

Volume of water = area × height = 30×0.15 = 4.5 m^3

1m^3 = 1000l

4.5m^3 = 4.5×1000 = 4500l

So water collected on terrace is 4.5m^3 or 4500 littres.

Given :  The rainfall recorded in a terrace 6 m long and 5 m board is 15 cm.

Length of terrace ,l = 6 m = 600 cm

[1 m = 100 cm]

Breadth of terrace , b = 5 m = 500 cm

Height of rainfall , h = 15 cm

Quantity of water collected in the terrace = Volume of water V = l × b × h

V = 600 × 500 × 15

V = 4500000 cm³

V = 4500000/1000 litre

[1 cm³ = 1/1000 litres]

V = 4500 litres

Hence, the quantity of water collected in the terrace is 4500 litres.

Option (D) 4500 litres is correct.
