Oxidation state of sulphur comes to be +8 but the maximum oxidation state of sulphur is +6 so by the formula, Caro's acid has only one peroxide linkage. Calculated oxidation state of chromium is +10 but the maximum oxidation state of chromium is +6 so it has 2 peroxide linkages
