The number of producer is greater than consumer in nature,why?

Answer:

In nature it is always seen that number of producers is more than that of consumer. Because consumers needs more energy to perform its regualr metabolic reactions. This is only possible when the food intake is more.now if the producers itself is less in number than how can the consumers may get fed properl. This is the main reason of more number of producers present in an ecosystem.
