Solution :–

Let,

The number of sides of a regular polygon be x.

According to the question,

 \dfrac{360}{x} = 45°

 \dfrac{\cancel{360}}{\cancel{45}} = x

Cancel the denominator and the numerator by 5, we obtain

 \dfrac{\cancel{72}}{\cancel{9}} = x

Again, cancel the denominator and the numerator by 9, we obtain

 \dfrac{8}{1} = x

⟹ 8 = x

  • x = 8cm

Hence,

The number of sides of a regular polygon is 8cm.

So, the correct option is (c) 8cm.
