The number of stamps in the collection of Sangini and Diksha is equal to 144 and 180 respectively.

Given:

The ratio of the number of stamps in the collection of Sangini, Sanchi and Diksha is equal to 3 : 4 : 5.

Sangini has a collection of 108 stamps.

To Find:

The number of stamps in the collection of Sangini and Diksha.

Solution:

→ The ratio of the number of stamps in the collection of Sangini, Sanchi and Diksha is equal to 3 : 4 : 5.

→ Let the number of stamps that Sangini has be 3x.

∴ The number of stamps that Sanchi has = 4x

∴ The number of stamps that Diksha has = 5x

Since Sangini has a collection of 108 stamps.

                            ∴ 3x = 108

                            ∴ x = 108/3

                            ∴ x = 36

The value of 'x' comes out to be equal to 36.

  ∴ The number of stamps that Sanchi has = 4x = 4(36) = 144

  ∴ The number of stamps that Sangini has = 5x = 5(36) = 180

The number of stamps in the collection of Sangini and Diksha is equal to 144 and 180 respectively.
