  • If the polynomial have power 2 then it has two zeroes , and the zeroes of polynomial depend upon the power of the polynomial .

Question

  • The number of zeros of x²+3x+2. \sf

Solution

\sf » \: x² + 3x + 2 ( By splitting method )

\sf » \: x² + ( 2 + 1 )x + 2

\sf »\: x² + 2x + 1x + 2

\sf » \:x ( x + 2 ) + 1 ( x + 2 )

\sf »\: ( x + 2 ) ( x + 1 )

Hence

  • ( x + 2 ) ( x + 1 ) are the two zeroes of the polynomial.
