Let the number be x

According to the question :

2x=45+ x/2

2x= (45*2 + x )/2

Multiplying both sides by 2

2* 2x= 90+x

4x=90+x

Subtracting x from both sides

4x-x=90

3x=90

Dividing both sides by 3

x=90/3

x=30

Verification:

2x=45+x/2

2*30=45+30/2

60=45+15

60=60

LHS=RHS

Hence verified ,the number is 30
