he sum of the squares of X and Y is 34

=>x²+ y² = 34..[2]

=> now let us put [1] in [2]

=>since  x²+ y² = 34 and x = y +2

=x²+ y² = 34

=y +2²+ y² = 34

=> y² +4 +y² = 34

=> 2y² +4 = 34

=>2y² = 30

=>y*x = 30/2

=>y*x = 15

=>the product will be 15
