The numerator and denominator of a rational number is the ratio 3:4 if the denominator is increased by 3, the ratio become s 3:5,find the rational number.

Let the ratio be 3x:4x of the numerator and denominator respectively.
Therefore according to the problem...
3x/(4x+3)=3y/5y
=>15x=3(4x+3) [The y cancels out]
=>15x=12x+9
=>3x=9
=>x=3
