Let see your answer !!!!!

Let the denominator of the fraction be x. Then,

it's numerator = (x - 2).

According to question ,

(x - 2) / (x + 1) = 1/2

=> 2(x - 2) = x + 1

=> 2x - 4 = x + 1

=> 2x - x = 1 + 4

=> x = 5

Hence , denominator = 5 and

numerator = 5 - 2 = 3.

So , fraction = 3/5.
