The numerator of a fraction is 3 less than its denominator. If the numerator is increased by 1
and the denominator is increased by 3, the fraction becomes -. Find the original fraction.

let denominator be x

numerator be 3-x

num increase by 1=(3-x)+1

denomi. increased by 3=x+3

therefore, numerator =3-x+1

=4-x answer

denominator =3+x
