the numerator of a fraction is 4 less than the denominator. if 1 is added to both the numerator and the denominator, the fraction becomes 1/2.​

the numerator is 4 and then denominator is 4+5 because the numerator is 4 less than that denominator then add 1 to both numerator and denominator as asked in question now it becomes

x+1/x+5+1=

x+1/x+6=1/2 (given in question )by cross multiply x =4

u can check it by putting values it becomes 5/10

which is equall to 1/2
