Hey !

Let denominator of fraction be X .

Numerator = ( X - 4 ).

Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = (X-4)/X

According to question,

X - 4 - 3 / X + 5 = 1/4

X - 7 / X + 5 = 1/4

4 ( X - 7 ) = X + 5

4X - 28 = X + 5

4X - X = 5 + 28

3X = 33

X = 11

Denominator = x = 11

And,

Numerator = X - 4 = 11-4 = 7.

Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = 7/11.
