Denominator be x

Numerator is 4 less than it's denominator

So numerator =x-4

Rational number is x-4/C

Both numerator and denominator increased by 2

Then new numerator is x-4+2=x-2

New denominator is x+2

New rational =x-2/x+2

Since New regional =5/9

Therefore,

x-2/x+2=5/9

(x-2)×9=5 (x+2)

9x-18=5x+10

9x-5x=10+18

4x=28

x=7

so,rational=x-4/x=7-4/7=3/7

I hope it will help you☺
