the numertor of a fraction is 4less than its ddnominetor. if both numerator and denominator are divided by 4 the fraction becomes 2/3. find the fraction​

Let Fraction be x/y

x = y - 4 --> ( i )

(x/4) / (y /4) = 2/3

[( y - 4) / 4] /[y /4] = 2/3

3y - 12 = 2y

y = 12

Putting value of 'y' in ( i ),

x = 12 - 4 = 8

Fraction = x/y = 8/12 = 2/3
