Solution:-

Firstly we calculate the distance covered by car in 5 hours .

Distance covered by car = Final reading - Initial reading

→ d = 1500-1000

→ d = 500km

the distance covered by the car is 500km.

Average speed is definedas the total distance covered divided total time taken.

→ Av.Speed = Total Distance/Total time taken

→ Av. S = d/t

Substitute the value we get

→ Av.S = 500/5

→ Av.S = 100km/h

Therefore, the average speed of the car is 100km/h.
