Answer:-

Given:-

  • Distance traveled (s) = (2400 - 2000) km = 400 km.
  • Time taken (t) = 8h

To Find:-

  • Avg. speed in (km h^-1) and (m s^-1).

_____________...

We know that:

v = s/t

In km/h:-

∴v = 400 km / 8h (Common = 8)

→ v = 50 km h^-1 ...(Ans¹)

In m/s:-

(Multiplication of the speed given in km/h by 5/18)

v = 50 km/h • 5/18

→ v ≈ 14 m s^-1 ...(Ans.²)
