Answer:

Average speed of the car is 50 km/hr (or) 14 m/s

Explanation:

The the initial reading of the odometer is considered to be e the initial distance and the final reading is the final distance travelled. Hence, toto find the total distance travelled we have to subtract the final distance with the initial distance that was shown at the start of the trip.

Given,

Given,Total Distance travelled = (2400-2000) km

Given,Total Distance travelled = (2400-2000) km =>400 km

Given,Total Distance travelled = (2400-2000) km =>400 kmTotal time taken to cover 400 km = 8 hr

Given,Total Distance travelled = (2400-2000) km =>400 kmTotal time taken to cover 400 km = 8 hrTo find the Average speed = ?

we know that average speed is equal to total distance travelled by time taken by the object.

AVG speed = T.D/T.T

=> AVG speed = 400/8 km/hr

=> AVG speed = 50 km/hr

1 km/hr = 5/18 m/s

So,

AVG speed = (50 x 5/18) m/s = 13.8 m/s

=> 14 m/s (Approx.)

I hope you liked the answer. If it helps make sure to mark it as brainliest if possible.

Happy preparation!

Have a nice day ahead ;)
