avg speed is total distance by total time taken

so in km/hr = 400/8 will give 50km/hr

in m/s

distance is 400000m

time 28800

therefore avg speed = 13.8 m/s

hope its ryt

Explanation:-

Given

distance travelled by the car at the start = 2000km

distance travelled by the car at the end is = 2400 kilometres

time taken is = 8 hours

To find

average speed in kilometres per hour and metres per second

Solution

We know that...

average speed is equals to Total distance travelled divided by total time taken

So, 2000km - 2400km = 400km

400 divided by 8 is equals to 50 kilometre per hour

400 kilo metres is equal to 400000 metres and 8 into 60 into 60 is equals to 28800 seconds

that is 400000 divided / 28800 is equals to 13.8 9 metres per second

finally the answer is in kilometre per hour it is 50 kilometres per hour and in metres per second 13.8 9 metres per second

Hope it helps...
