The outer circumference of a circular park is 396m.There is a path inside the park whose width is 3.5 m all around the park .Find the area of the path .Also find the cost of gravelling the path at the rate 4.15 per meter square

Answer:

circumference of circle=2×22/7×r

396=2×22/7×r

r=396/2×7/22

r=63cm

area of circle=22/7×r^2

=22/7×63×63

=12474cm^2

area of circle excluding path=22/7×r^2

=22/7×(63-3-5)^2

=22/7×(59.5)^2

=11126.5cm^2

area of path =area of circle-area of curcle excluding the path

=12474-11126.5

=1347.5cm^2
