the outer dimension of a closed wooden box are 10×8×7cm . thickness of the wood is 1cm . find the total cost of wood required to make the box of 1cm^3 of wood costs rs 2.00

Given

Outer dimensions = 10x8x7

Thickness of wood =1cm

Then inner dimensions = (10-2)x(8-2)x(7-2)

=8x6x5


Volume of wood required = volume of box with outer dimensions - volume of box with inner dimensions

Volume of box with outer dimensions =10x8x7

=560cm³

Volume of box with inner dimensions =8x6x5

=240cm³

Wood required =560-240

=320cm³

Cost of 1cm³ wood=₹2

So

Cost of 320cm³=2x320

=₹640
