The Later Vedic Age is a period between 1000-600 B.C.
Later Vedic age gave birth to a lot of Vedic literature like
· the Vedas
· the Vedic Hymns known as the Samhita
· the Upanishads
· the Brahmanas which contains the social rituals to be followed
It also give birth to the two great Epics the Mahabharat and the Ramayan.
Thus, the Later Vedic age is also known as the Epic age.
