outer dimension = 42 × 30 × 20
outer volume = 25200 cm^3

thickness = 1 cm
inner dimension = 40 × 28 × 18
inner volume = 40×28×18 cm^3

volume of wood = outer volume - inner volume

Do the calculation yourself!
